[It's been over a month now since he first arrived. Luceti isn't any homelier now than it was then. Only now he's getting restless from being stuck here so long. Pretending to ride a bike cross country in the Dome ain't exactly satisfying when it keeps stopping in one hour intervals. So maybe it's time to look beyond the enclosure. Here he goes with the journal.]

I keep hearing about these missions people are going on. I've read the advertising too. Besides being a cure for boredom, do people have a good reason for doing their dirty work? Because frankly, I'm getting a little bored myself. But playing toadie to cash in for prizes ain't exactly the way I do things.

[Good enough. He'll stick around to answer that for awhile, then head to the Rec Center. He doesn't like it when its crowded with teenagers, but when he's lucky, he can play a game of pool by himself. After some time there, he'll be running a Danger Room scenario for himself in the Battle Dome. Lots of explosions and slashing. It's really cool, okay. After some time back home checking out some of Kurt's old movies and TV shows (at least the kid had some taste), he'll make his evening at Good Spirits. He'll take them by the bottle, bartenders. He don't even need you to remove the lids for him. That's what adamantium claws are for. Just another day in the life of the Wolverine.]

The Third Partiers do want to kill us dead in the permanent kinda capacity. Is that incentive enough?

[Zack's more than happy to serve the booze in whatever manner that the customer desires, sure, but the reasoning has never been... quite so clear. He can't help but stare when he gets a first look at what those claws can do.]

Back home, whenever the Council of Counts took a vote, you always knew who was safe. The ones who voted against the wishes of the Emperor or the Prime Minister were the ones to worry about the least. It was the ones who voted with the ones in power, the ones who didn't want to look suspicious, who were most likely to be plotting usurpation. The trouble was that you could never tell them from the ones who were truly loyal.

Lots of people want me dead. That ain't exactly incentive for me to go and let the Mallies have me fixing tractors for them.

[He takes a long hard drink from the half-necked bottle of beer. When he sees the bartender staring, he fixes him with one of his trademark Wolverine glares.]

[That's a long winded way of making a point. Which isn't entirely lost on Logan. It's just not his preferred manner of conversation.]

You got a point to this, bub?

Just that if you're going to effectively oppose someone in power, you have to be subtle about it.

I ain't exactly known for subtlety.

Then take it as no more than a suggestion.

[The voice is too gentle to be snarky. Although when he is being snarky, he doesn't sound much different.]

[After work, and her own session at the Dome, Rogue joins him at the bar. Her drink of choice is much less alcoholic - it's just a Pepsi.]

Hey.

Sure. Suggestion noted.

Hey. [A glance at the drink.] Pepsi, huh?

[Xavier wouldn't exactly approve of teaching the kids to drink. But Rogue ain't exactly a kid anymore.]

[He's not going to talk about it being a suggestion to not judge people who go on missions and that it had nothing to do with Wolverine's personal statements at all, but he figures if the man is smart or receptive enough to get it when it's said out loud, he'll work it out for himself. So he unceremoniously closes the journal.]

Oh-kay. Yeah. That's...lame. Lamer than lame.

Oh, I hear you. There's nothing I hate more than being used by self-righteous snobs. But... [perks up.] What's this about cashing, and prizes?

[Hello fellow Good Spirits regular. Tony not quite sure what to say to the clawed man who burst forth from his closet and proceeded to be from his world and one of his teammates for a week. It's weird, okay.

But he can't resist a comment on his bottle opening skills. He cannot.]

You know, with a skill like that, they just might try to recruit you behind the counter--I'd really love to see you try all those little bartender tricks.

Lame doesn't start to cover it. What about you, Summers? Ever leave your bar to do some work for the Mallies?

If I'm going to work for someone, I need a good reason for it.

Its something to do that allows us to help other people. At least, thats why I'd volunteer. Other people may want to fight the Third Party, and others may just want to fight.

If I started working here, bub, it'd be to toss out people I don't care much for.

[Whether that includes Tony is vague. Somehow that week of weirdness has given him a dose full of memories that gives him a healthy mix of respect and annoyance with the self proclaimed superhero.]
