[So Logan has been planning this for awhile. But he doesn't like announcing things on the journal. Because then people will want to talk to him. And he doesn't like talking to people on the journals. It's bad enough that his journal shows up even after he purposely loses it. And now elves. Damn elves. It's thanks to their pestering that he makes his move. That is, actually offering to 'give' something to the community.

Probably not what the elf had in mind. But then, he impaled it on his claws. So what the hell does he care what it thinks?]

Now I know I ain't exactly the first to offer any kind of combat instructing. So I ain't going to bother looking for civvies. If you don't know how to fight, there's plenty of other people eager to show you the ropes. Not that I ain't willing to consider ya, but you aren't the only people I'm concerned with.

What I do is train mutants. People with powers. So it doesn't matter what you can do. If you're looking to refine your powers, get stronger, and increase your chances of not dying - then I'm your man. I'm known as Wolverine. Or you can call me Logan. If you're interested, see me at the Dome. You'll be getting your introductory lesson there.

[Logan can be found at the Dome, waiting by the console. He's in his X-Men uniform. Anyone who frequents the dome won't find this look too unusual for him. There's also his latest elf. It looks fairly traumatized, worried, and paranoid. Which is why it's hiding behind one of the pillars holding up the second floor, rather than anywhere near Wolverine.

He's so very, very much on the naughty list.]

[Toad takes the elbow to the face and lands on his back, muttering and complaining. But he's hardly down for the count. He nimbly flips over onto his feet again. His next move will be a flying kick towards her torso. If he succeeds, he'll bounce off her to land on the wall. If he misses, he'll quickly recover and land on the adjacent wall instead.]

...I don't like letting go of this. [He's holding it, in his scabbard, looking down at it longer before finally, he sighs and then slowly, hesitantly, hands it over. That sword is very important, after all]

I'm putting an army together. Figured I'd seize all the booze for myself.

[Logan takes it. Most people would eagerly unsheathe it just to see what it does. But Logan just holds it at his side, doing nothing with it. For something this valuable, he won't be so careless as to simply set it aside.]

Then I'd suggest being careful who you give it to. [A slight admonishment for handing it over so easily.] How much hand to hand training have you had?

I don't, normally! But you're my neighbor and training me, right? [He huffs, but he is now embarrassed, a bit of blue sparks coming out of the corner of his mouth. Ugh, he knew it was a trap] ...But uh, I fought in middle school a lot?

It's okay, we've done training back home with our own team. We know when to get serious. He probably won't come to the early sessions - he likes to sleep in - but I'll tell him to contact you, alright?

[She's watching him. That's how she would describe any of this, if asked - watching and thinking about when the boys were trying to teach her to fight. Some of the time, it worked.

This time she barely sidesteps the kick, reaching out with both hands to try to grab Toad's leg and turn with his momentum. To give him a boost, so to speak. A little extra...air.]

"Then count yourself lucky that we might be getting a healer on the team."

Tell him to show up. But if you two are planning to do this, I ain't gonna be coddling you.

[He gives exactly no sympathy for any desire to sleep in.]

"One good thing among many others that she can contribute to the team." Ororo agreed, smiling. "Level three it is, then."

...Maybe we can renegotiate the time of day after tomorrow's session.

[He's not going to commit Teddy to 7AM sessions all the time, good grief. He has a hard enough time getting out of bed for school.]

[Wolverine gives a grunt along the lines of you can try. He's unbudgeable. Unless they appeal to Ororo or something. Either way, he starts walking again.]

Just be sure to show up, got it?

Fact of the matter is, you're the only one that can. No one else is gonna do it for you, kid.

[No one else can. There may be some odd looking folk here, but he doesn't know any of them that have the benefit of being able to blend in. The cost/reward of Kurt revealing his true form isn't one that Logan can exactly estimate.]

So barely any. [Sure, Logan learned to scuffle on the street too. But then he learned how to really fight. Then he forgot. And remembered again! It was a long process.] Then that's where we'll start. Don't expect too much excitement starting out. For now, you'll be learning forms and restraint. [Not that Logan's exactly a model for that.] That way it won't matter whether this hunk of metal is sheathed or not.

I can't control if I transform or not without that though. [Just... in case... that wasn't clear]

[...Well, maybe Teddy can be more convincing. Or... some kind of miracle will happen. Either way, Billy's not going to argue it now, standing back to let Logan move on without bothering him further.]

I'll be there, don't worry.

[And Teddy... he'll work on that.]

Logan cued it up on the console. He then gestured to chamber three. "After you."

I figured. What I expect is that when this sword is out, there won't be a single flame anywhere I don't want there to be. The way I see it, your sheathe here is a crutch. You won't ever control your powers if you keep acting like they come with a switch to turn them on or off. Got it?

She raised an eyebrow at him, sort of amused at his faux-gentlemanliness.

"And what happened to waiting until after you finished with our new recruits?"

Unless, of course, he assumed she wouldn't last that long at all. That, or he'd just let the new recruits wait; either was a possibility.

"I changed my mind. They could use the demo reel."

"At my expense?" Ororo chuckled even as she stepped towards chamber three.

[You know, that does make sense. It does get harder to control everything when it's flying all over and frankly, now that he can control when and what it's burning, he'd not given a lot of thought to it. But he nods, because if the boss guy here says so, he'll try to comply with it. He's already cooler than Shura because he's not drunk, right? Yeah]

Yeah, I got it.

[This goes on for a bit before she finally finishes Toad off.]

Not bad. 'course, Toad's a pushover. Let's see how you do against Avalanche. You ready?

[Avalanche? Mia’s expression changes. The implication of snow – something she's familiar with – is about to leave her seriously unprepared.]
