Logan knew he was being selfish. He knew that the moment he signed up for a mission. And that was exactly why it had to be done, in it's own twisted way. He wasn't reliable. He wasn't someone who could pick up the pieces. Leaving it all for Ororo to do was a dick move, but it was foolish for anyone to expect anything more out of him.
