[So. A few days have passed since the conclusion of the experiment. Embarrassing moments all around, but after some time Noel can't help but wonder...

Where the heck is Kurt?

Thus, one fine Sunday afternoon, the blonde decides it's high-time to investigate the matter. Kurt's been her neighbor for months, so it isn't much of a hard trek... just gotta walk across this dirt road, head up to the door, and knock.

And wait.

Nervously.]

[Out the door comes Logan, TOWERING OVER HER by like two inches or something. Luceti means he doesn't need to be shy about his powers. So his left hand has his claws extended with a powdered donut skewered between it. Why? Because he hates getting powder on his fingers.

She gets an unfriendly glare, even as he vaguely remembers her from the journal. He says nothing. If she wants something, she can say it.]

[Oh, she remembers you, Logan.

Sort of.

...did she get the wrong house? This was most definitely KURT'S last she remembered! ...oh! Maybe it's his friend!?] Um... h-hi!

[Yes. Friend. See how friendly he is. He crosses his arms.]

There someone you looking for, kid?

[Yes... friendly.]

Er, yes! You live with Kurt, don't you? [This is his house and all.] Is he here?

The elf's gone. Been gone for awhile now.

[So where have YOU been? Nevermind that he can tell by smell that she lives next door.]

...what? Gone? You mean... he...

[She was... here, yeah! Way past the time since he initially left! But if that's the case, how did this slip past her!?] How long-- H-How long has it been!?

[Somewhere behind this scowl he's sympathetic. Probably. Maybe.]

Been over a month. Apparently the kid vanished just before I showed up.

No way. [...] Kurt...

[It must have been while she was gone. There was no other way to explain it. Just like that, one of her closest friends in Luceti had went home, and she didn't even get a chance to see him one last time!]

I... I'm sorry for bothering you, then.

[He snorts a little. Rude, yes, but it's not angry. Yeah, he's not a friendly guy. But looking at her, it's clear she's upset. And she's upset because Kurt must have meant something to her.

Now didn't Kitty say he had left some notes behind? Hm.]

I take it you were one of his friends. What's your name?

[Well... it's not like she'd shoot a glare at him for something as small as that. She lives with a guy who tells her to shut up for every little thing!!!

Nevertheless, Noel nods. He must just be trying to be nice.] Noel Vermillion. [...] And your name is...?

Logan. Wait here.

[He heads back inside. You stay put, Noel.]

Huh? O-Okay.

[She'll wait, sure. Even if she's not too sure what Logan is up to.]

[It'll take him a few minutes, but he comes back with a worn envelope. There's a few notes left in it. For Kurt's friends, not all of whom picked up what was left. He holds it out for Noel.]

The kid left a bunch of sappy notes. Didn't look at them myself, but you might find one for you in there.

[Carefully taking the envelope from his hands, she pulls out all the letters that still remain.]

There's so many... [But would there be one for her? There would, wouldn't there? Let's look!

...

...

Huh. That's strange.]

[Must be something real sentimental or something. The elf always was a softie.]

Fine something?

...no. [After another moment, she relents. It's no use reading through the remaining notes for some sort of clue. It seems as though Kurt didn't leave a trace of something for her.] I don't think there's anything here.

[Oh, well. Maybe... there was some sort of mistake. It's not like he would remember to write for everyone he knows! And so, Noel returns the handful of letters to Logan.]

[Well, he's not going to go looking himself. And he isn't going to make her feel better for the fact that Kurt clearly gave no damns about her.]

Tough break, then. [He takes the envelope back.]

[CLEARLY. Except Noel doesn't really think that. Surely there was a mistake!!]

I'm sorry for bothering you.

Don't worry about it.

[Just get lost. He's got things to do!]

[Continued]

Sure it will. It'll make me feel better 'bout seein' foot long metal claws come out of your hands.

[She starts towards the kitchen.] Buddy, for all I know, I see things like-- aw, crap.

Problem?

[He follows. From a distance, growing more and more suspicious of her.]

I can't remember how ta make coffee. I know it's there, I know I want it, but-- [she glanced around the kitchen helplessly] --how the heck do ya make it?

With a coffee maker.

Which... is... what exactly?
