Appointments Post

This post is for threading with Wolverine anytime and anywhere. It can be used for Action or the Ring feature on journals to get in contact with him for personal conversations.

[Logan was, oddly enough, at home. Briefly. Only because it was faster to get a beer from the house than to walk all the way to the bar. Dammit, he needed a motorcycle! He was on his way out when he heard a knock at the door. He cursed his luck at being the only one home.

He also had been removing the lid from his bottle of beer, which he did by simply cutting the very top of the bottle off with a single claw. So as he answered the door, one hand held a bottle of beer. The other had a single claw still sticking out of his forearm, seemingly forgotten. Despite standing at a mere five foot six, Logan somehow managed to strike an intimidating figure. Or maybe it was because of the stoop at the door. Regardless, he regarded Suki coldly and said nothing in greeting. If she wanted something, she could say it. Or if he was lucky, she'd just get nervous and leave.]

[She froze when Wolverine answered the door. Though the two never officially met, Kurt had told Suki about Logan, and Suki just assumed it was him. The man before her certain fit the description Kurt gave her.

Finally, she smiled at him, bowing respectfully.]

Good evening. I'm so sorry for bothering you. My name is Suki, and I just wanted to check in to see if Kurt has returned or not. [She already knew the answer was going to be no, but she just needed to check to make sure.]

[Chances are, Kurt has mentioned Suki around Logan at some point in some kind of happy lovesick way.

Logan never paid attention to that kind of stuff. He didn't recognize this girl and he was naturally suspicious of anyone looking for one of his X-Men. And while her bow did earn her some points with him, it didn't win much. He narrowed his eyes.]

Why?

[She wasn't expecting him to know who she was at all, not did she think he'd know anything about her relationship with Kurt.]

Well, he was taken, and I wanted to see if he'd come back yet. But I'm guessing he hasn't?

[He shook his head.]

The Mallies ain't given the kid up, yet. [He looks Suki over and only then notices he has a claw sticking out still. He retracts it back into his arm.] So what are you, his girlfriend or somethin'?

[She can't help but blush.]

Yeah, you can say that. We're seeing each other. [She's not committed to the whole "boyfriend"-"girlfriend" thing yet.] And you're... Logan?

[He nodded.]

Guess he found someone new. Good for him. [He looks her and down.] But seein' as yer here, let me make one thing clear for ya. That kid's been through a lot already an' if yer his girlfriend, then chances are ya can already figure out why. So don't go screwin' around with him, got it?

[Ok. She was not expecting that at all. For a second, she was almost insulted, but then she realized he was probably only protecting Kurt.]

I would never do that to him. I really care about him... [Which makes her nervous, but it is true. Kurt is the most important.]

Good, then there ain't any problem. [A pause as he takes a drink from his bottle.] What's yer name, kid? I'll let 'em know ya dropped by once he's back.

Um... Suki. [Like she said before.] You're the one who trains him, right?

That's right. [A pause.] An' I ain't currently taking on more students.

[Because dammit, teenage girls are just throwing themselves at him to get trained. It's ridiculous.]

Oh! No, I'm not looking for a teacher. I'm already a teacher and have my hands full with that. Besides, I don't have any powers.

[... she's a teacher. Logan is skeptical, but then he decides that he cannot begin to care enough to give a fuck. Or clarify that he's taken on non-powered students before. Especially since he still doesn't want to train her.]

Good. Glad to hear it.

Glad to hear that I'm not looking for help, or that I'm not a mutant? [This is not the time to tease, Suki.]

Glad that yer not my problem. [Yet.]

[Wow. Suki had no idea how stand-offish this guy was. Kurt did warn her, but dealing with him in person was completely different.]

You must be really popular with your students.

Generally they do whatever they can to get outta training. But most of 'em know that I ain't too chatty, either.

[In other words: Why are you still here talking to me?]

And what do you teach them exactly?

[He narrows his eyes, annoyed that she didn't pick up any hints.]

Yeah, I could tell. I've seen some of Kurt's paintings. They're beautiful.

The kid's a damn Da Vinci. So you wantin' to stand here and braid each other's hair or are we done here?

Oh. You were going to braid my hair? Do you teach that as well?

[Funny. Logan rolls his eyes, steps back inside, and closes the door.

He's going to need another beer. This one got warm wasting his time with the girl.]

[Suki just rolled her eyes. How the hell could Kurt stand being around this asshole? Hopefully she would never have to deal with him again.]
