[He at last takes the beer. He pops the top off and takes a moment to appreciate the smell of it. Sure, it isn't exceptionally good beer, but he hasn't had any in two months. He cut the habit because it was no longer one he could afford.

[Then...the textile factory is just waiting them out. And if they fold, then that's it for any kind of change.]

It's a damn shame that place is the only work available in town for so many. I wish I could help.
