No. Both good points. [She can't resist a small smile at that, though mostly humourless. Though this conversation is less explosive than she'd feared, she knows very well that Shikamaru's continued work is a problem.]

I'm sorry, Logan. I wish I had an easier answer to give you.

There aren't any easy answers. Not these days.

[He at last takes the beer. He pops the top off and takes a moment to appreciate the smell of it. Sure, it isn't exceptionally good beer, but he hasn't had any in two months. He cut the habit because it was no longer one he could afford.

It's a damn shame that place is the only work available in town for so many. I wish I could help.
